What's New This Season
Welcome to the 62nd season of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. We have a varied and exciting program planned for our six-concert subscription series.
Our masterworks programs will deliver the greatest symphonic music, all performed in the spectacular acoustics of Kuss Auditorium. Dramatic orchestral masterpieces such as Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 will ignite our passions, while guest artists Andre Watts, Caitlin Tully, and Twyla Robinson will dazzle us with their virtuosity.
Our very own Concertmaster extraordinaire, SuJean Kim, will take the spotlight as will the rebirth of the SSO Chorus, surely instilling in us a strong sense of pride in this unique community treasure, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
Our annual Holiday offering featuring soprano Twyla Robinson will take on a totally fresh look and new sound as part of our NightLights programs, designed to entice the novice listener as well as the seasoned aficionado with a more relaxed encounter with our gifted orchestra.
We're also have new ticket options this year, offering Select Three in addition to the six-concert subscription and individual tickets. With Select Three, you can choose any three of the six concerts and still save up to 20 percent off the price of individual tickets. Both Individual tickets and Select Three tickets will be available July 27.
