Monuments from two eras in musical history form the finale to this fabulous season, the Bach Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 and the Ninth Symphony of Beethoven. Local favorite Trudy Faber returns to the SSO stage, and the Orchestra revisits one of the landmarks of music, the Ode to Joy. For 75 seasons, the SSO has demonstrated the universality of music, and Beethoven’s call for common brotherhood has never been more relevant.
