A Heroic Finale Filled with Passion and Artistry
Returning Ukrainian pianist Anna Shelest performs Bortkiewicz’s lush Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. The heroic finale continues with Beethoven’s The Creatures of Prometheus and Strauss’s monumental tone poem Ein Heldenleben, closing the season with music that celebrates courage, passion, artistry, and the music that stirs the soul.
