About the Event

Join us for our annual series of FREE concerts on the lawn of the Springfield Museum of Art.

The Springfield Symphony Orchestra will present Lunch on the Lawn, a series of free, informal ensemble concerts on the front lawn of the Springfield Museum of Art, 107 Cliff Park Road, Springfield.

Join us on Friday, July 31 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM for a performance by Jim McCutcheon. A career guitarist for five decades, Jim’s special ability to connect with all ages shines through in programs sharing the beauty of guitars, banjos, and more.

Music for Lunch on the Lawn includes a mixture of classical and popular music by quality, diverse performing groups and artists.

Special box lunches with a beverage are available while they last.

Bring your own lawn chair or put down a blanket under a tree or under an outdoor tent. In case of rain, the performance will move inside the Museum.

Chairs will still be needed indoors.

Join us for four weeks of free live music at Lunch on the Lawn, taking place on July 31, August 7, August 14, and August 21. Each Friday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM features a different ensemble and musical experience.

This concert series is possible through the generous support of McGregor Brothers Holding LLC, Sheehan Brothers Vending Company, Home City Tent and Awning Co. and the Springfield Museum of Art.

Partial funding for the SSO season is provided by the Ohio Arts Council, the Springfield Foundation and Culture Works.

Bring the whole family or stop in during your workday – Lunch on the Lawn is a great way to spend your summer lunch hour.
