Featuring RLJQ, Afro-Cuban Jazz
The Springfield Symphony Orchestra will present Lunch on the Lawn, a series of free, informal ensemble concerts on the front lawn of the Springfield Museum of Art, 107 Cliff Park Road, Springfield.
Join us on Friday, August 21 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM for a performance by RLJQ, Afro-Cuban Jazz. Hailing from Columbus, RLJQ seamlessly fuses Afro-rhythms with jazz into a genre-defying sound with vibrant performances.
Music for Lunch on the Lawn includes a mixture of classical and popular music by quality, diverse performing groups and artists.
Special box lunches with a beverage are available while they last.
Bring your own lawn chair or put down a blanket under a tree or under an outdoor tent. In case of rain, the performance will move inside the Museum.
Chairs will still be needed indoors.
Join us for four weeks of free live music at Lunch on the Lawn, taking place on July 31, August 7, August 14, and August 21. Each Friday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM features a different ensemble and musical experience.
This concert series is possible through the generous support of McGregor Brothers Holding LLC, Sheehan Brothers Vending Company, Home City Tent and Awning Co. and the Springfield Museum of Art.
