Springfield Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Peter Stafford Wilson with Aaron Clark narrating


Saturday, May 3rd (all ages)11 AM, noon and 1 PM - Gaier Room of the Main Library


Come watch the Springfield Symphony Orchestra perform while Aaron Clark narrates the wonderful story There Was a Party for Langston* by Jason Reynolds, illustrated by Jerome Pumphrey and Jarrett Pumphrey. The book easily lends itself to music for all to “hear” as they read it, which has led to these special performances. *The book will be given out to each family (while supplies last). Special thanks to permissions from the author, illustrators, Simon & Schuster and Writer’s House. Additionally, we wish to greatly thank the composer, conductor, educator, Evan Williams, DMA.
