Why Springfield Symphony Season Tickets Are Worth It in 2026–2027

The 2026–2027 Springfield Symphony Orchestra season is underway, but there is still plenty of music ahead.
From a celebration of American music to Beethoven, Spanish guitar, Disney’s The Lion King Concert, and a season finale featuring pianist Anna Shelest, the months ahead offer very different reasons to spend an evening at the Symphony.
And if more than one concert is calling your name, it may be worth looking beyond individual tickets.
A Springfield Symphony Orchestra season subscription gives you a way to plan ahead, enjoy subscriber benefits, and make live music part of your year.
There Is Still a Lot of Music Ahead
The opening concert may have passed, but the Springfield Symphony Orchestra’s 2026–2027 season is far from over.
Upcoming performances include:
November 14 | America at 250: A Star-Spangled Celebration
Pianist Jeffrey Biegel joins the Springfield Symphony Orchestra for a program featuring Peter Boyer’s Rhapsody in Red, White & Blue, along with music by Gershwin, William Grant Still, and Bernstein.
January 30 | United in Music
The Springfield Youth Orchestra joins the Springfield Symphony Orchestra for a side-by-side performance. The program includes Beethoven and other familiar works, along with returning oboe soloist Dwight Parry performing Françaix’s The Flower Clock.
February 27 | Spirit Unbound
Spanish guitarist Pablo Sáinz Villegas joins the SSO for Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez. The program also includes music by Ravel, Beethoven, and Stravinsky.
March 20 | Disney’s The Lion King Concert
Experience Disney’s The Lion King on the big screen while the Springfield Symphony Orchestra performs the score live. Susie Seiter conducts this special performance.
May 22 | Courage, Passion, and Humanity
The season concludes with returning Ukrainian pianist Anna Shelest performing Bortkiewicz’s Piano Concerto No. 1. The program also includes music by Beethoven and Richard Strauss.
That means there are still five very different Springfield Symphony Orchestra concerts to experience during the 2026–2027 season.
Why Choose a Springfield Symphony Subscription?
There is something nice about knowing a few nights out are already on the calendar.
For those who plan to attend multiple concerts, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra offers subscription options for the 2026–2027 season, including options for those who want the full experience and those who would rather select a smaller number of concerts.

Five Concerts. Five Different Experiences.
One of the best reasons to come back throughout the season is that a night at the Springfield Symphony Orchestra does not look or sound exactly the same every time.
You can hear pianist Jeffrey Biegel perform as part of a nationwide American music project in November.
In January, young musicians from the Springfield Youth Orchestra will sit alongside members of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
February brings Spanish guitar to the concert hall. March combines film and live orchestral music with Disney’s The Lion King Concert. Then May closes the season with pianist Anna Shelest and a program featuring Beethoven, Bortkiewicz, and Strauss.
You do not have to choose the same experience every time.
That is part of what makes a Symphony season fun.
Make Live Music Part of Your Year
A season subscription is also an excuse to make plans.
Make it a date night. Meet friends for dinner before the concert. Bring someone who has never been to the Symphony. Or simply claim a few evenings throughout the year for yourself and enjoy live music.
And you can do all of it right here in Springfield, Ohio.
The Springfield Symphony Orchestra performs at the Clark State Performing Arts Center, making a night at the Symphony an easy way to support live music and the arts in our own community.
