Grapes & Escapes: An Evening That Brings Music, Community, and Celebration Together

Each year, one night stands out as something truly special for the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. Grapes & Escapes is more than a fundraiser. It is an experience that brings people together to celebrate music, community, and the joy of being part of something meaningful.

The evening begins on February 7th at 6:00 PM in the lobby of the Clark State Performing Arts Center, where guests are welcomed with a reception featuring small bites and complimentary beverages, including wine and beer. It is a relaxed and social start to the night. People mingle, reconnect, and take in the excitement as the evening unfolds.

After the reception, guests move into a truly unique setting. Dinner is served right on the Kuss Auditorium stage, offering an unforgettable dining experience in one of Ohio’s most beautiful performance spaces. Each table includes a bottle of red wine and a bottle of white wine, along with access to an open bar throughout the evening. Music fills the space during dinner, setting the tone for a night that feels both elegant and fun.

Once the auction wraps up, the night turns into a true celebration. The dance floor opens right on the stage, and this year’s band, Jah Soul, takes over. Many in the community recognize Jah Soul from their energetic performances at SantaCon at Mother Stewart’s Brewery. Their sound keeps the party going and the dance floor full as the night carries on until 11:00 PM.

Every dollar raised through Grapes & Escapes supports the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, the Springfield Symphony Jazz Orchestra, and the Symphony’s Youth Education Programs.
